Milan, Italy, 24 July 2026 – Milan will host a gathering of ecommerce leaders this October as Casaleggio Associati opens registrations for Ecommerce Tech Summit 2026, an event centered on the technologies, services and partnerships shaping the next phase of online retail.

The summit, scheduled for 20 October at the Centro Svizzero from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., comes as ecommerce operators face a more complex competitive landscape. Growth, the organizers argue, is no longer driven by traffic and conversion alone, but by the quality of the systems, data flows and integrations that underpin digital commerce.

That shift is the focus of a new research report, Ecommerce Company Partners 2026, which will be unveiled during the event. The study, led by Casaleggio Associati, draws on surveys and interviews with merchants, technology providers, agencies and system integrators to examine how the ecommerce partner ecosystem is evolving.

The research will look at the tools and services most central to online retail, including platforms, payments, logistics, catalogue management, marketplaces, marketing, advertising and customer relationship management. Artificial intelligence is expected to feature prominently, reflecting the growing pressure on retailers to automate operations and improve decision-making across their businesses.

“Ecommerce companies are entering a phase in which technology can no longer be regarded merely as a set of operational tools,” Davide Casaleggio, chief executive of Casaleggio Associati, said in the release.

“To grow on solid foundations, companies need to understand how the available solutions are evolving, improve their use of data and build an Ecommerce governance capable of connecting strategy, processes and results”.

This year’s main partners are Base.com, a multichannel integration and automation platform, and CommerceClarity, an Italian startup building an AI-based operating system for ecommerce catalogue automation. Their involvement underscores the summit’s role as a meeting point between retailers and the companies supplying the infrastructure behind digital commerce.
