Danish investment company backs AI-powered voice agents built for debt collection and recovery — one of the most compliance-heavy industries

Copenhagen, Denmark — 25 September 2026 — Kjøller, the Danish investment company founded by entrepreneur and investor Magnus Kjøller, today announced an investment in MEGA.AI, a company developing AI-powered voice agents for debt collection and recovery.

MEGA.AI is building technology designed to automate a significant share of the conversations and processes currently handled manually in call centres. The solution has been developed specifically for an industry where operational efficiency must be balanced against strict requirements for compliance, documentation and controlled workflows.

From Experiments to Real-World Workflows

Artificial intelligence is increasingly moving from experimental applications into real-world workflows, where the technology can take over repetitive and labour-intensive tasks. This shift is particularly relevant in industries characterised by high volumes of standardised communication and well-established processes.

Debt collection is precisely such an industry. At the same time, it is highly regulated and places strict demands on how technology is deployed. MEGA.AI therefore operates within defined workflows, clear frameworks and guardrails — ensuring the system works inside controlled processes rather than generating responses freely.

Investment Thesis

For Kjøller, the investment reflects the type of artificial intelligence application the company expects to have a significant impact in the coming years.

“We are not looking for AI for AI’s sake. We are looking for companies where the technology solves a real problem, delivers measurable efficiency gains and, at the same time, frees up human time from repetitive tasks. MEGA.AI fits that thesis very well,” says Magnus Kjøller, founder of Kjøller.

Historically, new technology has continuously reshaped the labour market. Railways, electricity and the internet have each eliminated, transformed and created jobs and functions. Kjøller expects AI to have at least as significant an impact on how companies organise and carry out their work.

The investment in MEGA.AI forms part of Kjøller’s continued focus on companies that use technology to solve concrete business problems and create scalable solutions.

“We look forward to following MEGA.AI‘s continued development and contributing to the company’s growth,” says Magnus Kjøller.

The size and terms of the investment were not disclosed.
