Cologne, Germany 9 July 2026 — Aparkado, the logistics technology company behind LKW.APP, is expanding its parking intelligence platform with a dedicated API designed for transport management systems and digital logistics platforms. The company says the goal is to make truck parking more predictable, more transparent and easier to integrate into route planning software used across European freight operations.

Truck parking has long been a structural bottleneck in road transport, particularly across Europe’s highway network, where drivers must balance limited space, regulated rest periods and delivery deadlines. Aparkado’s system is built to address that challenge by combining live occupancy data with forecasting models that translate parking conditions into concrete recommendations.

The company says its platform already processes real-time and movement data to support parking decisions for users of LKW.APP. Through its API, Aparkado is now making that intelligence available to external systems, allowing fleet operators and software providers to embed real-time parking information and predictive data directly into their own workflows.

“Over the past years, we have built one of the largest data and user bases for truck parking in Europe. With the Parking Intelligence API, we are making this knowledge available beyond our app for the first time — for TMS providers, fleet managers and logistics platforms. This way, parking decisions can be supported directly where transports are planned.”Roland Moussavi, Founder and Managing Director of Aparkado UG

Aparkado’s platform currently integrates data from sources including Autobahn GmbH and Toll Collect in Germany, giving users access to current parking information and occupancy updates. The company says its broader system is intended to improve planning accuracy, reduce unnecessary detours and support more data-driven transport operations.

The new development builds on Aparkado’s work on the Truck Parking Guidance System, or TruPaG, which received support from the European Space Agency’s Business Applications and Space Solutions program. The project aims to refine forecasting models further and make them scalable across Europe by combining historical and real-time truck movement data.

Aparkado says the subscription-based service is intended for transport companies seeking to optimize planning, reduce inefficiencies and improve the use of driver time. The company frames the technology as a practical response to a recurring logistics problem: not simply finding a parking place, but knowing in advance where one will be available when a truck arrives.
