The deal, the latest in a string of buys backed by Limerston Capital, adds stability storage capacity and deepens the company’s biorepository reach in Britain.

ROCHDALE, England — Sept. 23, 2026 — Astoriom, a global provider of sample stability and biorepository storage for the scientific research and consumer product industries, said Wednesday that it had acquired the U.K. operations of Sampled, the life sciences storage company, in a move that expands its capacity and technical reach in Britain.

The acquisition covers Roylance Stability Storage Limited and Roylance Scientific Limited, Sampled’s Glasgow-based U.K. subsidiaries. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The deal hands Astoriom a new roster of pharmaceutical and life sciences customers in Scotland, who will be transitioned to its flagship U.K. facility in Rochdale, where the company provides environmentally controlled storage supported by continuous monitoring, inventory controls and business continuity systems. Astoriom said the priority during the transition would be maintaining uninterrupted service.

Will Edwards, CEO, Astoriom

“Astoriom’s continued growth reflects the sustained demand for our integrated services,” Will Edwards, the company’s chief executive, said in a statement. “This recent acquisition reinforces our commitment to delivering high-quality sample storage capabilities in the U.K. and beyond.”

For Astoriom, which has more than 30 years of experience in outsourced sample storage and technical support, the purchase is the latest step in an aggressive, acquisition-driven expansion. Backed by Limerston Capital, a London-based mid-market private equity firm, the company has spent the last two years assembling a international network of storage and biorepository assets.

Its recent deals include the acquisition of MTS Cryo Stores and Cool Repair Scientific UK, both based in Britain; the biorepository solutions of Flagship Biosciences in the United States; and Precision Stability Storage. It has also opened a cryo suite and expanded its site in Tramore, Ireland.

Zach Taylor, Investment Director, Limerston Capital

“This acquisition is a strong continuation of Astoriom’s buy-and-build strategy,” said Zach Taylor, an investment director at Limerston Capital. “The addition of Sampled’s U.K. business deepens Astoriom’s stability storage and biorepository capabilities, further cementing its position as a trusted, quality-led partner of outsourced storage solutions.”

The transaction also marks a strategic narrowing for Sampled, which is headquartered in Piscataway, N.J. The company, founded in 1999 as RUCDR at Rutgers University, said it would now concentrate on its core businesses: biobanking, multiomics and clinical sample management.

John DelliSanti, CEO and Chair, Sampled

“The stability storage and specialised services offered by Roylance Stability Storage have been an important part of our organisation for many years,” said John DelliSanti, Sampled’s chief executive and chair. “We are pleased to see the business begin its next chapter with Astoriom.”

The acquisition underscores the growing demand for specialized storage infrastructure in the life sciences, as pharmaceutical companies and research institutions seek secure, regulation-compliant environments for biological samples and materials that can be decades in the making.

Astoriom, which also operates sites in Ireland and the United States, said the deal would broaden its coverage and add technical expertise, strengthening what it described as operational resilience for customers whose samples are critical to research and product development.

The company is scheduled to appear at Bioprocess International in Boston this week.
