- Funding: Selected startups will receive an initial investment of 110k€, with 50K€ in cash as a convertible loan, in exchange for 3-6% of equity according to the maturity of the startup. The most promising cases will also receive follow-on investments of up to 400K€ and up to 2M€ cumulative follow-on investments.
- Mentorship: Each startup will be assigned to an end-to-end Mentor to help navigate the program, set goals and track progress. They will also receive one-to-one expert mentoring sessions tailored to their needs.
- Collaboration Opportunities: Startups will have the opportunity to collaborate with the Innovation Partner Zcube and Corporate Partners Petrone Group and SIFI Group on solving their Innovation Challenges, and work on proof-of-concepts (POCs) together with the Partners.
- Training and Workshops: The program is centered around several guiding themes, including Digital Health & Pharma, Product Development & Service Design, Business Development & Partner Cooperation, and Fundraising, Soft Skills & Events. Startups will receive tailored training and workshops on these topics.
- Access to Networks: Startups will have access to a network of Italian patient associations and hospitals that are among the VITA Ecosystem partners. They will also have opportunities to network with key Italian and international digital health investors.
- Frontiers Health Global Conference 2023: Selected startups will receive full access to this premier digital health event, taking place in Rome on November 8th-9th. The event provides a platform for startups to increase their visibility and engage with a global community of top digital health innovators. The VITA Program will culminate with a special session for the 2023 Demo Day at the conference.
How to Apply for the VITA Accelerator Program
If you are interested in applying for the VITA Accelerator program, you can submit your application on the program’s website. Applications will be evaluated on a rolling basis, with a deadline of April 17th, 2023. Interested start-ups are encouraged to apply as soon as possible to increase their chances of acceptance.
To apply, startups must be either based in Italy or interested in operating in Italy and willing to set up an Italian entity in order to develop, localize, and/or commercialize their product or service in Italy. They must also submit a complete application and check out the innovation challenges of the Partners to understand which they might be able to collaborate on during the program.
